Pansy as Elemental Goddess "Pompadour"

Pansy as Elemental Goddess "Pompadour" - student project

Enjoyed applying some of the color theory and methods from the class to color and line this sketch on Procreate. I loved the lush, almost velour-looking texture to the black pansy in Georgia O'Keefe's painting. I tried to use many of the colors present in the painting, and also some of the shapes. (For example, the leaves in the shoes and her skin color from a point in the middle of the pansy.)

Anatomy is a bit off, especially the hands, feet, and the legs... but overall, I think I have made some improvements in my drawing by completing this project. Pompadour is a unassumingly strong character who is still discovering her magic. Parallels to the artist's journey?
