Painterly Pet Portraits: How to Make Your Watercolors Shine

Celine, I love this colorful version of Jess the German Shepherd! You did a great job keeping the colors clean and bright while creating the illusion of volume. I think those colorful splatters you added really enhance the picture. If I had to make a suggestion, maybe a little more softness on the outside edges to create more "furry" effect (you get that by running a tip of a clean wet brush outside of the dog's contour), but this is really minor and doesn't take away from the painting at all.
