Logo Design: Let the Type Do the Talking

Wow, that's a lot of sketches! The pajama pant icons are hilarious! I really like the idea of using negative space to create your initials. I think it will look really good once it is vectorized.

I really like how many different directions you have taken this. Takes time and thought to do so. I appreciate your efforts. That is definitely how you get something good in the end. I like the super minimal look. Kinda like that proposed HP logo that was going around a bit ago: http://www.underconsideration.com/brandnew/archives/hp_mb_logo_render.jpg I think having accompanying text with it would be helpful. I also like the color differentiation. Nice work. The little triangle version is nice too. Lots of good options here.

The HP lines are a very similar approach in execution. Thanks for sharing it. I wonder, though, if a corporate needs to be so  limited/obvious with their logo.

I'm planning to add my full name around the logo and work more wholly with typography this week in Illustrator. Had a hard time thinking of non-custom type at the sketch phase.

Poor Jokes, Pajamas... it's hard not to laugh when coming up wiht my personal logo. My initials, oddly, are PJ.
Ended up with simple 3 lines that form P and J in 2 colors.
