Over. Priced. : My inquest for affordable vintage fashions

In the pic below is the vintage piece from my closet that I have chosen to present to the class. I don't know what the fabric is on this dress, but it is very light. It has a label in the back of the neck titled -- AJAX I <3 N.Y. It comes with a matching tie belt and has a sexy v-neck collar that can snap and unsnap, depending on how low you want your v-neck to go. The print on this dress is white and light brown strip background with colorful looking type brush strokes merged in.

This is a dress I bought at a thrift store (Village Discount Outlet) in Chicago, IL about a couple of years ago.  I think this is one of my best finds because I paid $1.50 for it and wear it everytime the weather breaks 70. As a matter of fact, I wore it today and work and everytime I've worn it I get tons of compliments. I haven't figured out how to wear it for the winter, although I could probably just wear it with a cardigan, tights, and knee high boots to get more use out of this dress and make it more seasonless.

The story behind this dress is pretty simple.  I went to the store, sifting through racks and racks of dress, and this one jumped out at me.  I didn't even try it on for the following reasonsL 1. no dressing rooms, and 2. If you can believe, I actually felt like this dress was "dead on" in the size category for me.
