Outdoor Adventures in South Florida

I live in South Florida and I love it!

It's so beautiful and there's so much to do all the time.

The state gets a bad rap with outsiders and tourists, so when people come to stay with me...I try hard to convince them there's more to us than criminals and mad mice.

I have done plenty of fun things down here, so I would like to maps my awesome daytrips to share with my guests.

The map(s) I am going to create detail days-out I have the form of circuits...from adventurous pursuits. Does that make sense?

For example, one map is from combined experiences while paddleboarding in Oleta river state park. You start at a beach, paddle through mangroves, out past a marina, onto the intercoastal, past a lagoon and party sandbar, then back into the mangroves under the spiders to get back.

My maps  will include little images of the things I have seen or experienced along the way.

I will overlay that on top of a map of

They were all outdoor adventures that had images and memories along the course of their routes.

When I overlay them, they will all start from 1 point. I think that will look cool...and they will be slightly to scale.

I am a web designer, so the final project will be online, with the maps zoomable and filterable so you can see all or 1 at once.

I am OBSESSED with this app called paper on my iPad so I will be doing my sketches there and mapping the route on illustrator and putting it all together in Photoshop.

I think it counts as hand-drawn since I did these with my finger!
