Organized once and for all

I've been trying to build and improve on all types of systems in my everyday life.  I seem to struggle with creating systems for workflow, organization, finances, chores, exercise, etc that I will actually follow. I dabble with digital task managers and simultaneously carry around many stacks and scraps of papers with notes, reminders and important data on them.  I would really like to stramline so that I am on top of my life's to-do list and not shoving crumpled up papers into my bag with a million to-do's written on them every morning.
