One stylish abode... 8 principles totally covered!

LOVE this space!  It is so perfectly styled and photographed, and full of character!  Of course it belongs to Bri Emery (designlovefest), was designed by Emily Henderson and was photographed by Laure Joliet... so go figure...

This space exudes a warm and comfy feeling that caters perfectly to any needs.  The couch, cushions, chair, footstool, ottoman and shaggy carpet provide cosy relaxation and the wall units and coffee table look after the storage and display side of things.  A little bling is seen in and on the gold side table and with the gold details in the coffee table legs and the footstool.

Colour is plentiful and well chosen but not overwhelming, muted by natural tones of wood and leather and neutral curtains and carpet.  Shapes are complimentary with the straight lines of the couch, coffee table and wall units feeling balanced in the company of a scattering of circles...

Pattern and texture are my favourites and make this space shine!  I love the geometric coasters, the aztec throw not to mention the rainbow scalloped cushion!  Always partial to a little furry friend I think the light coloured shag pile and sheepskin cushion and texture and depth without being too heavy in such a full space.

Placement perfection!  Coffee table, side table, wall unit... lovely.  Finally, but most importantly, the abundance of botanicals really do breathe beautiful life into this room while also adding texture and natural, earthy shapes and colours.

Before shots to follow when I can muster a few child free moments in the natural light!
