For this class I picked up a quote I probably look at the most, and let's be real - we look at inspirational quotes once we are down the most!
I gathered up around 20 images for inspiration and then narrowed them down to a select few which seemed to have the most in common. I noticed that a lot of them are light, use soft colors and shapes.

These are the fonts I considered! In the end I really liked the geometric one because I immediately wondered how it would look like if I cut it up into colorful shapes and used the blend effect.

In the design itself I wanted to emphasise some kind of a rising upward motion so learning how to blend and use the 3D tilt did the trick perfectly! This is the design I had once I finished the class:

When it came to variations, the original design gave me a daytime feel and it differed from the designs made by the teacher who usually went with white text on a dark background instead. So for variations I wanted to try and see how a nighttime version would look like. In the end I liked it most!

The only issue I could not solve is that I couldn't get the blend to work inside the P loop, but overall it does not bother me... too much.
Thank you very much for the lovely class, Sophia! I learned a few fun tips and tricks on illustrator + some neat resources which I will definitely use and implement in the future!
