Oh, Man . . .

I have a 20-month-old daughter who is going through her Dora the Explorer Obsession stage, so it's usually on TV at one time or another throughout the day in our house.

One of the characters is named Swiper the Fox. If you've never actually watched an episode of Dora, Swiper's role is to hide in plain sight before he steals things from the other characters. But the potential victims can stop him if they are able to say, "Swiper, no swiping!" three times before he actually grabs their stuff. If they are successful, Swiper snaps his fingers, says, "Oh, man!", and scurries off the screen. If not, he takes their juggling balls or bridge pieces or squeaky toys and throws them behind a bush or something.

If any of that makes sense to you, your either younger than five years old or high.

Anyway! Here are my thumbnails:

I decided to go with the fur-textured "Swiper" and the "Swiping" that has the missing middle. I thought of making the bottom part fall away, but realized I was making things too complicated for myself.

This was my final sketch before the fur texture. I thought of making Swiper carry away the "G", but decided again that I'd rather keep it simple.

And here's my finished drawing.

Thanks for taking a look and I appreciate your comments!
