Hi there! I'm Rachel an analog and digital collage artist, branded Oddloop. I've been making art in all forms for years, but I began collaging only just recently, around the end of February. I love the way you can take something out of its context and create a whole new concept and image with it (paying attention to subject and composition).
I was on a sure path to study neurophysics in college soon, being a math and science nerd, but discovering collage enticed me and made me want to be a freelance artist or even study graphic design instead! I think I will have to come to a settlement with my parents, though, as they might not agree to that. For the time, I am going to have my collage print shop set up as a side business, and see where it takes me. Perhaps life will surprise me :)
I use royalty free images for my digital collages so those are safe to sell, but my handmade ones are from cut up magazines so I'm hesitant to sell them. Not to mention the complications of selling handmade work as an online print. I'm not sure what I can do about that. Thank you for reading! Below I will place some of my works, analog and digital.
