I truly enjoyed making this little notebook. It is 4.25" x 5". The end papers are colored cardboard. This paper is sturdy enough to double as covers. The pages are made of  a 8.5" x 11" white bristol cardboard (67lbs), the one that you buy at any office supplies store. I used 8 sheets to produce a total of 32 small pages for my notebook. The covers are made of chipboard that I bought for a little over $2 at an art supply store. The spine tape used is the water acitivted type.

The pages are crooked despite my effort of cutting them straight and even. I will use more glue on the spine next time, I can see areas that does not have enough glue. The glue I used is JADE 403 PVA bought online at John Neal Books. I needed calligraphy supplies for another class on Skillshare anyway so I also bought some bookbinding supplies there (needles, linen thread, beeswax, bone folder) for the coptic stitch book project.

One of the covers is a little warped. My heavy books plus two 5lb dumbbells were not enough weight to keep everything flat. A book press is a great idea. I may make one of those in the near future. There are a lot of resources online on how to make them.

I enjoyed this project a lot. My appreciation for the craft is greater now. I always wanted to learn about bookbinding. My next project will be the coptic stitch book!

Thanks Caleb!
