One Sacramento native, who lived for seven years in the northern-most county in California, takes us on a coastal road trip to her old stomping grounds.
For most people, the mention of Northern California brings imagery of the Golden Gate Bridge and rolling vineyards to mind. Highway 101, however, extends well beyond the home of great wine and the famed city by the bay.
This article will feature several small coastal towns near Highway 101 in Northern California and the stories, scenery and places that make each town worth visiting. I have already taken photos, researched stories and identified contacts to help complete the article.
