Nomaders Local Heroes

Nomaders Local Heroes - student project

Nomaders is a social impact experiences marketplace transforming travelers into locals.

Most of the time when visiting new places, we all are doing the same things, these things listed in guide books, and at the end we are losing the esence of every place, these unique experiences around the daily life of places, around people living there. On Nomaders we help travelers to experience and discover their destinations feeling like a local.

To achive our goal we have introduced a new travel protagonist, The Local Hero, area enthusiasts who love their cities and are willing to meet travelers based on skills sharing, cultural exchange or any other interests exchange.

This donation based market place where LOCAL HEROES will have the ability to put this money for a Non Profit

The Map

 1.    Players/Roles/Type Of Users

 a.   Travelers

 b.   Local Heroes

 c.    Charities/Non Profit

2.    Selfish reasons why each player would need their contacts/friends to join the service

a.   Travelers

Users share travel stories more than any other life event (42% of FB content is travel related). Probably the biggest motivation to invite friends to the service will be during trip planning and after having the travel experience, even more if they are doing something for good while having an amazing experience with locals. This last thing will increase their “social” status.

 b.   Local Heroes

Local Heroes are people passionate about what they are doing and where they live and willing to meet like-minded persons. People want to have recognition and feel what they do is important for others. Being a Local Hero is recognition by itself. Also as the system will allow them to become fundraisers for causes and charities they support, it will increase their social status.

Local Heroes will “compete” among them to become the biggest fundraiser, so as much friends they have in the system will increase their “value” in the system and therefore increasing visibility and chances to raise more money meeting new people.

 c.    Charities/Non Profit

Non Profits need to raise money, so they will promote it among their community members and supporter to become LOCAL HEROES, and donating their potential income to them.

3.   Things we could possibly charge each player for on the service

 a.   Travelers

After every meeting with a Local Hero they will be asked to make a review  of the experience and a potential donation (treat everyone as you would like to be treated). Additionally some Local Heroes will be fundraisers so the donation will be used for a good cause what will increase the motivation to pay.

The better the experience with the LOCAL HERO the bigger the chances to pay a donation. Adittional motivation could come if the LOCAL HERO supports a Non Profit

b.   Local Heroes

They will post their proposals for free

 c.   Charities/Non Profit

Thinking about potential subscription models.

4. For 2 and 3 above give a very short reason you think the player would be motivated to need their contact or pay for the service

5. List the channels (email, facebook, text message, etc.) that you will send your users’ invites through and how you will get that contact data

6. Create what those invites will look like
