Italians help write history in A Night To Remember

For the first time in two decades, the historical Ulster Hall will see a female professional boxer fight, and a local Italian restaurant found an original way to show their support.
Marcello and Sabrina, owners of the “Osteria da Marcello” in East Belfast and both lovers of martial arts, were eager to help the event gain visibility. As they report, it was not an easy task given the strict regulations barring any external intermission. “We tried to contact the organisers several times” Marcello says “offering to host all sort of promotional events. In the end, we were granted two free tickets, and came up with the idea of the giveaway”.
The A Night To Remember Championship Professional Boxing will star several big professionals, among which the Commonwealth super-featherweight champion James “The Assassin” Tennyson. However, on the bill there’s hardly any mention of former kick boxing and karate world champion Cathy McAleer. “She is not the main event” Sabrina clarifies, “anyway she is bringing women’s professional boxing to Ulster Hall for the first time in twenty years, and that deserves an acknowledgement. In our web giveaway, as well as through the advertising in our restaurant, we made sure to make her the top name”.
For all the enthusiasts of this noble sport, the unmissable appointment is on the 9th of February at Ulster Hall (tickets available at www.ulsterhall.co.uk). The event will feature:
-James "The Assassin" Tennyson vs Garry Neale (lightweight);
-Paul Hyland Jr vs Miroslav Serban (lightweight);
-Feargal McCrory vs Karl Kelly (lightweight);
-Tommy McCarthy vs Jiri Svacina (cruiserweight);
-Luke Wilton vs Patrik Bartos (super flyweight);
-Cathy McAleer vs Sonia Klos (super flyweight);
-Mathew Fitzsimmons vs Alec Bazza (super featherweight).
The giveaway to win the two free tickets is open until February 4th at 12:00 pm and accessible at www.osteriadamarcello.co.uk or through the Facebook account.
