New Horizons

When I think of something quiet, I think of space. Sound can't travel in a vaccuum. There's a NASA mission currently on its way to Pluto. Distant, cold...and quiet.

10/21/13 - Started the class tonight and here's my favorite sketch. I'm going to move forward with this one.

Also started working on the color pallette. There will be a lot of blacks and grays for space, with dark purple/blues on the planet's surface and some golds in both the sunshine and the spacecraft.

10/25/13 - Scanned my sketch and turned it into a wireframe. Still working my way through the video lessons which have been really helpful, and now I think it's time to start playing with colors! (Oh, also need to scan in the text and add that to the bottom.)

10/28/13 - Added the text and did a first hack at coloring. Looks pretty flat and dull but I think it will improve a lot as I add texture.

11/4/13 - Added texture tonight to all the elements. I feel like I may have gone a little overboard, so I'm going to let it percolate for a few days. I like the texture on the planet, but I'm not so crazy about it on the text.
