Name change, Amaryllis x10, adventures in photoshop = Etsy shop finally up and running
So, I actually "opened" my etsy shop 7 years ago.... but I've never listed anything for a whole HOST of reasons (multi-step processes confuse me, artistic resistance, that little voice that used to go: who do you think you are??.... okay, so mostly mental reasons. haha)
Anyhow, I finally worked up enough courage and persistence to live through a trial and error relationship with photoshop to create a cover image, icon pic, and Backstory. One other factor, once I reconsidered my shop name, was that I had to make an official request to change my shop name since I'd already changed it two times before (for my shop with zero listings in 7 years). Turns out the old adage is correct, the third time IS the charm.
Just about 15 minutes ago I listed my first print for sale. https://www.etsy.com/shop/LonelyHeartGirl?ref=hdr_shop_menu Please check out my shop and let me know what you think! I'm so open to receiving feedback. I feel very green about this, but I loved that quote that Amaryllis shared... something like, if your first product is perfect, you should have launched sooner....
Amaryllis, you were a guiding light throughout this process. Thank goodness your skillshare video isn't hours long, because I watched and re-watched about 10 times- especially the photo shop stuff because I really have NO experience with PS.
For now, I only have one listing up, but will add more throughout the week.
I WOULD SPECIFICALLY LOVE FEEDBACK ON: 1. appearance 2. shop story 3. presentation in my first listing (have I left anything out?)
