My understanding of mindfulness

My understanding of mindfulness - student project

Based on a YT video I saw a while back, mindfulness is about being present in the moment while no thoughts of the past or worries of the future bother you. Most of our lives, we're always negotiating with our past and our future: wishing we'd done things differently in the past, and trying to secure a better life for our future. So in a way, we're always living in our past or our future, and life passes us by without us getting an opportunity to enjoy the present. Mindfulness is about being present in the moment, savoring it and focusing only on the task at hand and nothing else.
