My so-called 90's Zine

Hi. My name is Candace I decided to make a little zine dedicated to good ol' days of 7th and 8th grade. This was back in 1996/1997, it was a much simpler time but also a lot more complicated because I was in between being a kid and wanting to be a "grown up" teen. My friends and I were a small band of misfits. We were those alternative grunge skater kids who wanted to experience the heavier side of life. We were rebels with a cause but we still had to be home by dark. Being 12 was a good time.

I made a big list of things I was into back then, and as I starting sketching it out I was reminded of all sorts of bits and pieces that made up my life at that time. This zine is a little glimpse of that.

Here is the zine all layed out. You will see a lot of pencil marks, but when photo copied they should disappear. I had a lot of fun making this. I really like Kate's advice of not spending more than an hour on it. This helped me just go for it and not stress the imperfections and wonkyness of it. DIY!!!

Here are the pages in booklet form...

And that's it! I hope you enjoyed it and maybe it broughtback some memories, made you smile, or reminded you of how silly we can be when we are that age.

Peace! :)
