My plan to become a fit mountain queen!

I am studying geology and am drawn to mountains like most geologists probably are, but unfortunately I am in no shape to go up most of them. My goal is to become the mountain goat I want to be!

My goals for 2013 are:

  • Lose 10-20 kgs (less weight to carry up all those mountains!)
  • Go to at least 5 trips with my school's hiking club
  • Walk over the Fimmvörðuháls this summer (where the volcanic eruption was first in the whole Eyjafjallajökull volcanic eruption chaos).
  • Gain muscle and lose fat (not water!)
  • Exercise 3-5 times a week.
  • Do strength training.

The first step is to start walking more in my daily life, and then on the 27th of january I'll go with my hikingclub on a 3 hour long hike across a deep fissure, exciting!
