Assignment:

Your project is to create a vibrant watercolor painting from a photo! Using either the two photos that are available in the "Resources" tab (featuring a mushroom and fern) or your own simple nature photo, create a small watercolor painting using the techniques that we covered in this course.

Materials:

Cup full of water
Pencil
Eraser
Paper towel or napkin
Watercolor paints (tube or pan paints will do the job!)
Watercolor brushes in a couple of different sizes
Watercolor paper (the cheap stuff works just fine)
Photo of a simple natural object like a leaf, flower, or mushroom (optional!)

Getting Started:

Watch the "Gathering Your Materials" video and set up your workspace with everything you need. Then, watch each video and follow along at your own pace. I'd recommend watching each video first, then practicing the skills that I introduced in that lesson.
