My first Steps

My first Steps - student project

I thought this would be an easy exercise for me, but to be honest I think I need a bit more practice to be able to create the pattern that I have in mind.  I was soo excited yesterday, when I saw there is a new course from Bärbel, that I watched the whole course in the middle of the night, then jumped out of bed in the morning and started my first exercise.

I realized, that I drew the same shapes over and over and had a though time to allow myself different variations. After a couple of hours and a lot of paper ;-) the twist and turns in the shapes came a bit more natural. But definitely, I should give myself a bit more time... Maybe I finish your course on the acanthus leaf first.

I want to say, that I love the way you create your courses. You but in so much hard work, love and dedication in your classes. Thank for your guidance! It´s always a pleasure!

I think there is room for improvement but for now, I feel quite good about my decisions. I saw the honeysuckle pattern by May Morris and because I love these plants I decided to try my own version.
