My daily tools

My daily tools

I wanted to learn more about photoshop, and I love telling stories with illustrations, so this class had a huge pull. I decided on the collection of the pens and pencils I use (or used) on a daily basis. I have been trying to figure out how to get my watercolor illustrations into photoshop for a while now, so I decided to take that route.

First I did all the pens and pencils. On separate sheets I wrote all my comments. This added a whole lot of layers, but gave me more freedom with the arrangement of the text. Something I really enjoyed.

Though all pens are sitting on my desk, not all of them are equally important to me. In the final collection you can see that: The bigger the pen, the more I use it.

Sooo, I had loads of fun with this class, learned a lot, have a better relationship with photoshop now (;-)), and it was so very entertaining to listen to Kate telling the little stories around the collections and her approach to her work.  Thanks so much! This class is definitely a keeper!
