My attempt at SKILLSHARE ;-)

The Map
1. List all major “players” in the system (eg. a marketplace may have two major players: buyers & sellers)

a. Students --- People who want to get ahead (more money, more job options) by learning skills

b. Teachers --- People who want to get paid and recognized for what they know

c. Charities --- benefit from peopel signing up for classes

2. List out any selfish reasons why each player would need their contacts/friends to join the service

a. STUDENTS --- Will contact friends to get greater access to Skillshare.

Students can unlock different sections of Skillshare by inviting friends. The more friends they invite the more sections they get to unlock – like a video game, the higher level of learning they can have access to. AND…the more they learn, the more money they get to make in the real world.

[#4] STUDENTS want to feel powerful and make more money and knowledge is the way to get thier in our information based economy. People are also trained to want to advance up a ladder (1st grade - college). The more people our students share SKILLSHARE iwth,  the higher in the system they get to go (without having to pay for it).

b. TEACHERS ---  are smart people but they also want to make money. They will get paid a higher fee based on the amount of people they invite to their classes.  {BONUS – they can decide to keep this money or give it to charity}

[#4] Teachers want money too – they also want recognition for their smarts. Smart people  love being recognized for being smart. Some teachers however don’t teach for the money, so those may choose to give away their loot to the common good, aka a charity of their choice. (This could attract high caliber, world renowned teachers)

3. List out all things you could possibly charge each player for on the service

a. Students -- charge to take each class. Charge higher fees for higher level learning (Or...charge higher fees for most popular classes)

b. Teachers --- not sure how to charge

c. Causes/Charities – not sure how to charge

4. For 2 and 3 above give a very short reason you think the player would be motivated to need their contact or pay for the service

{{see above in section 2 and 3}}

5. List the channels (email, facebook, text message, etc.) that you will send your users’ invites through and how you will get that contact data

6. Create what those invites will look like
