My Top 5 Favorite Flower Doodles from my #The100DayProject

In April, I participated in #The100DayProject, which was a celebration of process that encourages everyone to participate in 100 days of making.  I choose to make a doodle a day for 100 days, and I posted my drawing each day on Instagram.  I decided to pick my five favorite flower doodles from the project and make them into my zine.  I have really missed doing this project and I am considering doing another longterm project such as a 365 day project.

I had a lot of doodles to choose from since about half of my doodles were flowers.  It was interesting to try to recreate them in a much tinier size (my project sketchbook was 7"x10").  I was surprised that most of my favorites were done in black and white.  I had bought myself Koi Watercolor Brush Markers for my birthday and started using them a lot about halfway through the project.  I thought that there would be more color doodles.

This class was my first exposure to the concept and design of a zine.  It was a lot of fun to do something in such a small format, and it was fun to just pick a topic without overthinking it.  This was a great class!
