I went to draw with a croquis group just after this workshop started. The model was sharing a personal story during one of her breaks, and I made a sketch of her that I decided to use as a basis for my sketch journal entry.
Normally, I draw with a soft pencil or brush pen on croquis nights, and seldom use watercolour. This was a nice opportunity to challenge my habits, and to give some extra attention to one of my sketches afterwards.
It is a good idea to make journal entries in my sketchbook – sometimes when I sit down to draw, I do not know where to start. I will give the roadmap and collage a go, too, and will post them as well! Very enjoyable class.
April 8th. Added a page from my sketchbook from April 4th that I inked and coloured yesterday.
April 10th. I made a collage in my notebook, using a paper napkin from the Easter breakfast in kindergarten, where I attended with my youngest one. Also added a binding detail from my sketchbook at croquis night the same day.
