My Rapid Launch - Photoshop: Learn to Create the Double Exposure Effect (**New Class**)

I watched through Neil's videos and there were some top tips and tricks in there for anyone launching their new classes.

Luckily I was just about to launch this new class today, Photoshop: Double Exposure Effect using Layers, Masks & Color Adjustment Layers, so was able to follow through Neil's helpful steps.

Launched 28th September 2016

12:41 - Class Launch - after class launch I went through all the steps - Facebook, Instagram and sending a direct E-mail via Skillshare.

13:50 - So far I have had 8 enrolments (1 has left). 1 free enrolment has been used and the other 7 are Premium enrolments. I will check back in later with an update on the stats.

14:50 - 18 enrolments (6 free & 12 premium), no reviews yet.

21:00 - 36 enrolments (17 free & 19 premium), 3 positive reviews & 1 project (mine). Not trending yet but I think the Design, Graphic Design & Photoshop Categories are tough to crack! Strangely I have other, older, classes with only a few more students that are in the trending list.

09:15 + 1 day - 57 Enrolments (31 free & 26 premium), 3 positive reviews & 1 project (mine), 118th in the Graphic Design Trending Category, 36th in the Photoshop Trending Category, 279th on the all classes trending page.

13:32 + 1 day - 62 Enrolments (34 free & 28 premium), 6 positive reviews & 1 project (mine), not listed in Graphic Design Trending Category any more, 33rd in the Photoshop Trending Category, 287th on the all classes trending page, 69th on the Illustration trending page.

8:24 + 2 days - 68 enrolments (37 free & 31 premium), 6 positive reviews & 1 project (mine), 205th on the all classes trending page, 79th on the design trending page, 27th on the Photoshop trending page, 51st on the Illustration trending page.

12:30 + 5 days - 95 enrolments (50 free & 45 premium), 9 positive reviews & 1 project (mine), 119th on the all classes trending page, 60th on the design trending page, 28th on the Photoshop trending page & there is a second design page in the design section where it is 15th in the listings.

+9 days from launch - 131 enrolments (54 free & 77 premium), 10 positive reviews & 1 project (mine), 69th on the all classes trending page, 45th on the design trending page, not on the Photoshop trending page, 45th on the graphic design trending page, not on the illustration or digital illustration pages.

Note on day 9
I've noticed over the past week or so of watching the lists that trending classes can drop in and out of certain categories quickly suggesting that there may be some randomness written into the trending algorithm. I currently have a new class Photoshop Beginner: Hue/Saturation Adjustment Layers (aka change one color of an image) that is trending on all the pages and sometimes higher in certain categories than the Double Exposure class. I've also noticed that an older class such as my classes in Adobe InDesign stick around much longer in some categories even though hey aren't statistically doing as well. This suggests that perhaps looking for classes that nobody is teaching yet is something that Skillshare is encouraging.

+15 days from launch - 152 enrolments (75 free & 77 premium), 11 positive reviews & 2 projects, 115th on the design trending page, 36th on the Photoshop trending page, 62nd on the graphic design trending page. It looks like I'm into the long tail of this course now. Hopefully it will continue to pick up some students from time-to-time. Incidentally I did launch two other classes following on from this and they both trended too by following the same launch strategy.

+1 month from launch - 180 enrolments (95 free & 85 premium), 12 positive reviews & 2 projects, 443rd on the design trending page, 174th on the Photoshop trending page.
