I've gotta say, this really pushed my ability to experiment recklessly and really get to know my colors. I did this project over the course of about 3 weeks because my attention was in many other directions, aside from work and recreational things. I've nearly exhausted my supply of alizarin crimson because I just LOVE cool reds and honestly used it for everything.
For the first hand, I mostly kept it natural, and added some gold floating shards, like something hand shattered.
The second hand definitely has what i would consider my favorite skin tone. Something about desaturated color schemes is rather pleasing to me.
And for the last hand, I actually tried to replicate one of Arleesha's gouache hand stickers, and I really love how i came out! I feel like it's got an almost jelly-like property to it, even though i was going for a "blue bones" sort of look.
This course has honestly taught me so much about experimenting and enjoying it while encouraging exploration of my paints. I definitely feel like i have a much better idea of how to explore color in not just hands, but all my work. Thank you, Arleesha, and I hope you like my hands!
