I decided to use my brand new watercolor sketchbook to give this project a shot, and created my first page today, yay! Since I spend a lot of time in my home office, I made it the subject of my very first daily page.
I have to admit that I was a bit apprehensive because I never draw things like that (made-man stuff like furniture, rooms, etc.), so I was way out of my comfort zone. But I soon realized that this was a lot of fun and quite relaxing to boot. I see now how a daily practice like this can make your art skills progress.
So here's my not-quite-finished first page, I still need to glaze over some of the colors and go back in to do some detailing, but I'm dangerously close to the deadline for posting this so here it is. I'll go back in and add the finishing touches later.

First page of this new sketchbook! I'm taking this opportunity to participate in a Skillshare project that aims to develop a drawing practice by drawing the stuff of everyday life in a journal-like way. Will I do this often? I hope I can! Illustrated here, my desk as seen from my drawing table. I've had a lot of work over the past two days."
