Figma 101 - Learning the basics quickly

Looks amazing! I am just getting started with Figma. How long did it take you to complete that project?

Thank you! :) It took me roughly 6-7 hours from starting the lessons to completing the prototyping. I am hoping I will get faster and I become more familiar with Figma. It's such a power program and loved learning to use it. 

Will you be doing this course? I would love to see your finished project if you are.

How awesome Candice!!! Regarding the gradient, I would try using some colors that are similar in Hue. That way it's a subtle light shift edge to edge.Did you feel that anything was missing from this course? Could I have done anything better?

Thanks for the feedback on the gradient and that makes perfect sense! I am planning on creating another version of this project but from my notes and memory with your recommendation on the colour hues (going to try not reference you lessons to much, so I can see where I need to focus on). Will post it as soon as I am done. :)

This course was concise with just enough information and direction to guide me but with enough room to figure things out on my own and start to work out my own work flow. The only thing I would like more of is the prototyping. I still struggle to get my head around that. 

This was the first time I had ever worked in Figma or on anything UX/UI related and your course has given me a passion and drive to learn as much as I can so I can make this my new career! Thank you for making it!!

Hi Gary, thanks! :) I am loving the experience and your course has been extremely informative and easy to keep up with! I went with those colours because I wanted to see how the gradient worked while I played around with it and seeing as mermaids and unicorns are the rage these days wanted to see if the palette could work. Do you have thoughts / concerns on the colours?I have moved onto prototyping. I have managed to get everything to animate like your video except the top gradient background with the back and edit buttons...can't seen to get that right.

Great job Candice! What made you choose those colors in your UI? Also, did you try prototyping in Figma as well?
