I just finished filming for this month! In my class I'll be teaching how to paint watercolor galaxies using 10 easy steps. I've been told that the way I teach watercolor galaxies is very easy to follow, so I thought that creating a full class with all my tips would be super helpful. I'm so excited to be part of this challenge and see all the amazing classes that everyone else will create!
I have a journal that I write everything in — outlines, ideas, calendars, notes, etc. When I'm starting a new class, I write down a whole bunch of ideas for potential classes. This way I'll have a list of topics for future classes.
Once I've chosen a topic, I begin writing an outline. I list out the supplies needed, the steps, and my own tips & techniques. Having all this information will help me break the class down into lessons. When I've separated everything into lessons, I use bullet points listing what I'll be covering in each video.
Here is a video of my process creating my last class that I uploaded to my YouTube channel.
For this specific class I have nine video lessons:
Video 1 - Introduction
Video 2 - Supplies
Video 3 - Class Project
Video 4 - Painting Setup
Video 5 - Begin Painting
Video 6 - Adding Light Streaks
Video 7 - Painting Darker Layers
Video 8 - Adding Stars
Video 9 - Conclusion
Paint your own watercolor galaxy using the techniques shown in class. Choose whatever colors you like and feel free to follow along with me as you paint!
Upload photos of your finished paintingto the class project section. Share work-in-progress photos and explain your process to inspire others!
Ask me any questions you have—I'm always here to help!
