For my seascape, I decided to create a bustling coral reef with turtles, stingrays, a shark, and a bunch of fish. I started by creating a sketch of my scene. The sketch helped me to plan a scene that was interesting no matter where you look. I wanted to make sure not to forget the top or bottom of the drawing. You can also see a couple of notes on how I am planning to stitch things together.

After I completed the sketch I moved on to rendering my seascape in illustrator. I created precise outlines for everything and colorized it before moving into photoshop. Once in photoshop I added some extra detail to the things I really wanted to pop. Here is my finished cube map:

After completing the illustration I meshed my cube map into an equirectangular panorama. I also played with a couple of Flexify's other export options and got some cool results to share on Instagram.
