My 14 days of drills

My 14 days of drills - student project

Day 1:

I have some basic knowledge about using watercolor but I am never confident with my skill. Therefore, my motivation when joining this class is to gain as many interesting things as possible. I hope after this course,  I can draw anything easily. I did this painting in an hour and this is the largest one I've ever done.

Day 2: I don't have many brushes. But I'll practice with everything I'm owning now.

Day 3: I feel unconfident with my consistency. So I practice a lot and I can see a little improvement :)

Day 4: Even stripes

It's hard to keep my stripes straight and remain good consistency. I have to practice many times to be better at this.

Day 5: Flat brush and variation

This is actually not too difficult, therefore I was a little bit careless while drawing.

Day 6: Angled and compound stitches

I wasn't confident at this. Again, it's hard for me to keep the line consistent and straight.

Day 7: About talent and compound curves

It might seem easy to me at first. But the more I practice, the more I realize it's tough to remain every mark the same. However, remaining good consistency with me is not as hard as the first time I tried.

Day 8: Extreme changes in direction

V is easy, but U is extremely hard, especially the right U. I practiced really hard for this.

Day 9 & 10: Pressure Changes

I feel this exercise is very helpful. I can draw leaves and flowers after being frequent with these strokes.

Day 11: Combining pressure and Compound marks

Drawing these circles was super satisfied.

Day 12: Nested Circles

OMG, it's hard with me. It took me two days to be confident with this.

Day 13: Advanced Practice

I love Calligraphy and I tried drawing my name in this style by using what I had learned. I feel really proud of my progress.

I surprised by my results, it's much better than the previous one.

FINAL THOUGHT:

Thanks to this course, I learned how to control my brush and the amount of water in my color (Although it doesn't deliberately teach it). Above all, I become more persistent and careful while drawing. Sometimes, I feel boring why keeping following this course (Nah, I had to repeat drawing a few strokes over and over again), but work hard pays off, I feel super proud of my effort and my progress.
