Day 1: Journey

Leaving the safety of my boat and venturing to the unknown all alone. My 14 day fearless challenge - image 1 - student project

Day 2: Cloudwatching

I added the original squiggle in the corner for reference. The resulting doodle sucks, but it was fun.

Day 3: Slow

I found out that drawing long lines slowly can be a challenge. Even colouring. Somehow the speed affects the pressure I apply and it made it look pretty childish.

Day 4: Shake it up

Small texture-heavy oil pastel drawing of a lion roaring. Or a very energetic yawn, perhaps? Not great, but I had genuine fun making it, which I had forgotten it's a thing.

Day 5: Metamorphosis

It's been a long time since I used ink, so I took the chance to do some wash+pen action. My 14 day fearless challenge - image 5 - student project

Day 6: Metamorphosis II

Ink+gouache wash-off. I really enjoyed making it.

Day 8: Colours of Today

Funny the stuff that happened to me today, and just today this was the excercise. Funny. Odd. Odd how things work. My 14 day fearless challenge - image 8 - student project

Day 9: Flatten it out

I was going for something else entirely when I suddenly thought ofthis bizarre idea. Hideous, but very flat and kind of funny.

Day 10: Thread

How I spent my life trying to knit what I considered to be my own self, with the things I saw in me and the things I wanted to become, to then all be unraveled and undone in an instant by some repressed childhood memory flashbacks that left me with handfuls of thread, all soiled, worn and torn.My 14 day fearless challenge - image 10 - student project

Day 11: Transformation

The cringy horror piece from day 3 turned into something barely passable that could hang from the wall of a contemporary bathroom. I like textures.

Day 12: Structure

Here's a horrible photo of a simply awful watercolour of something tremendously unoriginal. Oh well.

Day 13: Take 2

I liked the thread-like style of line from day 10 and the gloominess from day 8's spongey texture background on black, so I decided to mix both and this came out.My 14 day fearless challenge - image 13 - student project

Day 14: Texture

I used a picture I took of the burnt bricks+white mortar from my garage. My 14 day fearless challenge - image 14 - student project
