UPDATE

I'm debating wether to continue with the lighter highlights throughout the rest of the frame. I am starting to work on adding the text in. Any feedback would be appreciated!
Hello!
My name is Alex, and I'm a senior vizualization major (with an emphasis on graphic design) from Texas A&M.
The poster I will be working on is for Mumford & Sons.
Brainstorming & Research
I started off by doing a lot of reasearch on the band. The design of their intro page to their website really inspired me. I love the way the illustrations are done and I feel like it perfectly represents the band's sound.

Inspiration
A lot of the band posters and album covers have a very vintage feel to them. I really want to focus on the typography of the band name and have that be one of the main focuses of the poster. I want to encorporate some of the antique, ornature details like my inspiration photos.

Concept 1
My first concept was inspired by the song Little Lion Man. I thought it would be cool to do an ornate drawing of a lion head and incorporate something human with it. The text would be above the drawing.

Concept 2
For my second concept, I wanted to incorporate an old cinema theater. A lot of the music videos I watched seemed to take place in an old style theater, and I feel like this really fits them. I also thought about doing just a movie ticket and focusing on just the typography on the ticket (I didn't get a chance to sketch that idea yet)

Let me know what ya'll think! Any suggestions would be appreciated.
