Morning on the Farm

I'm both nervous and excited about posting this collection. I have never designed a pattern collection before and it wasn't until a couple of months ago, I was introduced to surface pattern design here through Skillshare. I immediately felt a huge satisfaction in how I could combine my love for photography, sketching, graphic design and all the inspiration I get from nature and my surroundings.

My inspiration for this collection comes from my eternal fascination of a rising day. I recently moved to a little farm in the country, where clear sunrises are like nothing I have ever experienced. They produce a beauty and a light that makes my heart ache with sheer joy and gratitude.

COLLECTION NAME: Morning on the farm

STORY: Morning on the farm, is when the light caresses your face and makes a promise of a new day to come. It’s about that serene feeling of peace and belonging you get, when nature overwhelms you with her beauty and details. It’s about that moment when your mind quiet down and all the possibilities lay at your feet, and life becomes a never ending palette of inspiration.

FLOWER STUDY.
Hydrangeas is one of my favorite flowers. It's also placed in the morning sun here on the farm, and they change colors throughout the year. I'm so inspired by this plant.

SECOND COLOR COLLECTION:
The blue hues are some of my favorite and I think they work well on this collection. I also think they give you a feel of more cooler and foggy mornings, those that arrive later in the year.

PORTFOLIO IN THE WORKS:

Did a quick print of all the patterns for a simple portfolio. I want to add more collection, before it is done, but I really like to print what I do so I can keep it on my desk. This way I feel much more inspired to keep developing, when I actually have something completed in front of me.
