Moon at Stoney Nakoda

The Stoney Nakoda First Nation are the "people of the mountains" and a mountain vista greeted me when I visited the Stoney Nakoda Resort west of Calgary last summer. I used a photograph from that visit as a reference for my first project submission due to the strong colours and the opportunity to place different graphic elements on different layers.

This was a great exercise. Although I've tinkered with Photoshop on photographs for years, I never attempted a project based solely on geometric shapes. I was definitely outside my comfort zone, but I learned a great deal about tools and techniques that I wouldn't have explored otherwise.
