Monstagrams - student project

So many monsters; so little time. :)

More refining (those tiny shapes!) and more color correcting. I'll probably keep working on this after the class ends.

I've been adjusting the line weight issue, reconsidered the pallete and the *snap to pixel issue. wooh! that snap to pixel thing really messed me up. I've decided to use a mostly grayscale palette (is that a copout?) and use subtle hints of color depending on the monsta. The nessi for example has a touch of blue for the water. I'm also using two different reds but they don't seem to be translating well.

also, that WT should def be heavier.

NESSIOGRAM (also still in the works)

Introducing the Hellhoundogram and the Wolpertingerogram.

These guys still need some refining and you guessed it — some color.  Colorwise, I'm considering keeping them mostly monochrome (mono-chrome get it?!) but adding hints of color, so yeah, I guess that's not monochrome. There are a lot of elements going on so I thought I'd play with color once I have a few of them I'm happy with… TBC.

RELEASE THE {HELL}HOUNDS! Truth: I'm having a hard time deciding on what monsters to go with. Hellhounds came together naturally and I like the direction it's headed… *the expressions should be more fierce/ less sadlooking? and they should be less hippo-like.

Legendary Monsters (such as the Lochness, Yeti, Chupacabra, etc.) + Monograms (cause I can't steer away from type).

I'm hoping the monograms won't complicate things too much.
