The Value of Monochrome: Paint a Watercolor Still-Life with Just One Color

Oh I love this! I especially think the classic use of the watermelon in 3 shapes (Halved, cubed, and sliced) adds great interest while keeping it cohesive! The lighting is clear, and the bright plate is beautifully reflected in the glass. Excellent use of using your range effectively too, the glass edging and depth of the shadows look perfectly balanced in contrast with the various midtones of the watermelon flesh, background, and tablecloth. Well done! Also, off topic, but your Burnt Umber value scale (beautifully done BTW) reminds me of a latte or chocolate. Mmm, haha.
