ATA: The Art of Visual Storytelling

Lynn, a very beautiful image.  The cityscape, the composition, all inviting and of high quality.  The contrast, yes.

From your tagline it says that a girl "fights to keep her little family together", and my first thought was that the parents were struggling to make a go of it.  I don't know if that was your intention--just my first impression from the basic description.

Is there anyway that you can take that phrase "fights to keep her little family together" and communicate it through into this picture?  Financial?  Possible divorce?  Financial?  Regular problems?  You've clearly got a great handle on drawing, and this is terrific work.

You've done a wonderful job of communicating the love, affection, and appreciation of the girl for the dog.

The dog looks as if it has his tags on in the picture, implying that this is the family dog and not a girl finding a dog.  Is that what you meant?  

Regardless of my thoughts, this is great work, and I clearly am looking forward to the panels that follow.

I decided to do my take of the Minotaur story. Unfortunately I didn't have enough time to have every drawing ready by today but this is a start. I've also included my thumbnails at the end.
