Minimalist décor: Do your own stylish, modern line art print

Minimalist décor: Do your own stylish, modern line art print - student project

In commercial, professional and home settings, minimalist artwork draws people’s attention quickly, providing a place for the eye to rest. So modern line art prints have become popular décor items.

Their simplicity can deceive you into thinking they are easy - you just draw a few lines and voila! But there is definitely more to making a truly great artwork.

You will create your own modern line art print for a greeting card, from the composition through to identifying shapes, doing initial sketches and inking the final line art.

The class is for all levels, and the skills of composition and setting up the artwork for final inking, can be used in all forms of illustration and art, not just line art!

You can do your modern line art either digitally, or with paper/canvas and ink. Both will be demonstrated in the class.

Here is my class outline - wish me luck with filming!Minimalist décor: Do your own stylish, modern line art print - image 1 - student project
