This is my first effort in Illustrator so I decided to pick an illustration that would emphasize methods of learning the pen tool, texture, shape, line, and perspective. I chose to reproduce the minimalist Little Red Riding Hood piece by Christian Jackson.
Thus far I've only used the pen tool, though I would like to experiment using the method of building with shapes for sheer practice. Perhaps I'll do that at a later time. Of course, I still plan on incorporating texture as well as text.
I've added typography as well as texture. It's not as smooth as the original, but I think it might still work. Honestly, I'm not sure how to get it smoother. If you have any tips or feedback, it'd be great to hear from you!
