Why did you sign up for this class?

I am always seeking improvement, be it self-improvement, physically, mentally, spritually, emotionally, professionally or within my marriage and relationships with friends and family. I love to read. I am always reading books, news, articles and whatever I can to broaden my mind and thought process to be a well rounded person. This is the reason I subscribed to Medium Daily Digest some months ago. Well, a couple of days ago I recieved a my Medium Daily Digest email and the first article was: "Design Principles for the Mind: Gems from learning science, habit creation, and the psychology behind drive" by Emil Wallner. It is a 12-minute read, but it took me two days. Why two days!? It took me two days because I clicked on every link and watched every video in the article and there seemed to be a hundred. One video or article suggested I start writing everything. I already had many empty top flight compostion notebooks and I have been going to town. Another article suggested: Design Your Habits: A Hands-On Introduction to Behavior Design and Get Stuff Done Like A Boss: Design Your Workflow and Double Your Productivity in 21 Days, which I will be taking next. Here I am to design this one habit to do yoga and meditate every morning. To improve my mind, body and spirit. This will be the start of my new beginning, which will allow me to design more positive habits. This is where I catapult my life in the direction I want to go.

What has been your most consistent good habit in the past?

I would have to say physical activity is my most consistent good habit in the past. I was in the military for 11 years. Five years active Marine and six years as an Air National Guardsman and physical activity is engrained in who I am. I even push my wife to do something, even when she was pregnant we stayed active.
