Day 1: Name a Feeling
There's a lot to do...
Day 2: A message in one word
Feelings of dread for an important coming deadline. However, I used up my blue paint to make some backgrounds for the next two days.
Day 3: Respond to your day
This was a cold day, snow expected during the night, and I felt quite tired...
Day 4: Address unkind thoughts
Be open to all opinions, because nothing is set in concrete and everything in life is not binary. If it was, we would go nowhere.
Day 5: Allow your own Experience
My left hand brain tells me that I shouldn't do this sort of thing. But I know better! It is very meditative and I enjoy the fact that apart from a few lines to mark out some areas I do not know what colours combinations will appear and how it will look like when finished. I limited the colours which cancels out a lot of decision making.
Day 6: Active listening throughout your day
I had no ideas about what to paint. Finding pigments and making paint is basic to a lot of my art, and it suddenly occurred to me to use this volcanic rock pigment. It is a print of the suction pattern that happens when lifting the muller off the paint after grinding powder and binder together. So I made the paint and here the print is.
Day 7: Giving yourself Permission
Getting ready for a big workshop - and telling my self it's ok to get in a muddle and thankful for my checklist.
Day 9: What would a best friend tell you?
I now have learned that I am one of my best friends! Having friends around is so self-confidence making - they are just wonderful and it is heartwarming to encourage others too.
Day 10: Reframe with an affirmation.
I don't do these enough.
Day 11: Change your tone of voice
Took a while to get my head around this, but your comments, Jessica, helped a lot. I was very stressed at one point, doing volunteering work I really loved and was extremely interested in. Instead of saying yes when I really didn't want to - I took on too much - I have learned to say sorry, but I can't do it just now.
Day 12: Cheer yourself on.
I'm being really nice to myself here, making this pattern.
Day 13: Use your wounds
Resenting something or someone is hurtful to our psyche. So let go of things.
Day 14: Complete this sentence "You get to ..."
