I think it turned out into an ocean theme really, but it doesn't really matter what gets you started as long as you do it! :) My journals always evolve as I make them and they seem to want to tell their own story, so I just let them flow and see where they lead me.
I love this page out of a kids music learning book; "The Happy Halibut" and on the opposite page I use my white paint to create stripes instead of painting the whole page and it ended up inspiring those wavy lines.
This was just a page I was going to paint over but then I saw this sentence! What a gift! "An ocean trip is a discovery voyage". On the other side is a page from a Canadian Tide Tables booklet from 1973!
