March Calender

64cb1aae

It's January. It's cold. "Snowmageddon Part 2: The Frostening" is scheduled to hit here tomorrow. So, working with fun flower shapes and cheerful colors is a good way to spend the day. :)

Why March? Because March is when the year REALLY begins for me. It's when I can look forward to blossoms on my cherry trees, and prepare my garden beds for seedlings. March is a month of anticipation!

I've been drawn to combinations of aqua and pink a lot lately. I found this palette on my pinterest board, and tweaked it a bit. Didn't feel like my flowers stood out quite enough on a white background, so I put a dark grey to give it a bit of a "chalkboard feel".

I used the font "Firefly" for the month, and the calendar is "Hepburns Type". I wanted to give the actual calendar part a more prominent place than in the sample project in the class videos.

Lots of fun, as always. :)
