Then I wanted to try using the framework we built on a new dataset, so I downloaded some USGS data. I selected "Major" (mag 7-7.9) and "Great" (mag 8+) earthquakes from 1900 to today and separated the two categories by color and size:
Then I figured I'd try the airport dataset too, but I didn't know how to do the flight data so for now it's just the airport locations.
I am interested in doing a comparison of flights in 2019 vs 2020 since I'm taking this class during the pandemic. I'm hoping to come back to this project once I learn some more about processing and data gathering. Thanks Nicholas, this was such a great toe dip into data visualization!
