Magical Sketchbook

Magical Sketchbook - student project

I'm Réka from Hungary (no I'm not hungry) and am learning scandinavian studies at university. In the future I also want to become a graphic artis, but I have a way too long in front of me yet until then.

I always liked art and went for course too, but making art everyday was always hard for me because my busy schedule. I'm finally a university student and now I have time for a lot of things I had not before.

I'm really happy to have time for it and found this class!

I always liked to draw/paint/get creative, but I had a problem with maximalism. If i hold a pen or a brush I want my art to be really realistic which I cant. So I find this 'do not paint with normal things' awesome, because it kind of abolish my problem. :)

Theme: Birds

Things I used: straw, cotton bud, fork and paint  brush.

DAY  2

Magical Sketchbook - image 2 - student project

I didn't know what to paint, so I painted random thing which came to my head.

I was at university today I had only pencils by me, so I drew some flowers.

I wanted to try out something new and I saw a video on Instagram which I thought ' should try out'. So I did. I like that it's simple yet makes it a good decoration on the wall.

I liked yesterdays technic so I made other two of these. (These were also on instagram)

I really enjoyed this 5 days, and I think it's good that it makes me try out new things and doesn't let my 'maximalist self' say how to do.

I will continue this daily sketching/art things and hope that I will improve with all of these practices. :)
