UPDATE (22/02) : Colors test + Almost final version
I'm not satisfied with the back of the ball (venue + date) I definitely need to work on this, and also on the bats..
Still not sure about the colors I'll use too, I do prefer the 'one-ink' idea but I'm not even sure.
I've been really busy lately, school, work etc.. so I didn't had a lot of time to work on my project and giving feedback so I apologize about that !
About me :
I'm Axel an art student from Paris (France), 19yo and a little bit addicted to typography and music.
I might make some english mistakes, please don't beat me ! But feel free to correct me :)
Project :
I chose to use a Macklemore and Ryan Lewis concert as the event I will design. And I decided to use a previous concert that they gave last year, because of the place it was and the meaning it had.
- Macklemore performed at Safeco Field (Seattle stadium) and wrote a song as a tribute to Dave Niehaus ( http://youtu.be/hvNQWQSwmow ). So I figured that since he is from Seattle, he is a big fan of the Mariners and he did perform at the Safeco field last year this would be the perfect match for my design.
So I thought : what could be the perfect way to represent a baseball + concert event ? Well a baseball and baseball bat seemed to fit pretty much with that idea. So here it is :

Texture test
This is what I've been up to lately, trying that "white ink" on blue paper.
I've put new baseball bats (which I'm definitely not keeping, urh ugly). The "stitches" of the ball are less rounded, which allows me to keep the double 'T' of Seattle :) And I need to work a little bit more that "SAFECO FIELD" lettering !
I've also been playing with some textures and brushes but that's maybe not subtle enough.
Still not sure about those two colors, maybe not enough agreeing with Macklemore & Ryan Lewis music.
I'll post some new colors try tomorrow !

Second concept idea :
Not sure of where this is going, it's just the first sketch of a second concept. I'm sure there is something interesting to do with that, but I haven't figured it out yet !
Inspiration :
Some work of a french studio BMDD. I was thinking of something like that for the ball
And here is another source of inspiration (thanks to Bob Ewing !) Jon Contino's work :
Since I'm now working on the colors, some other works from Jon Contino :
