Lunchtime at Juvia Restaurant

I was so excited to find out about this course, as I've been dabbling in food photography. I'm usually in restaurants during the evening hour so was glad to see you do this at lunchtime. I recently attended the Miami Beach International Film Festival Culinary Cinema at we stopped at the nearby Juvia Restaurant for lunch. Located on the rooftop, Juvia offers gorgeous views of Lincoln Road in Miami Beach and a view that can't be beat.

We started off with an order of ceviche and were thrilled with the dish. Fresh marinated seafood was light and delightful and offered a tangy twist. The light was perfect so I'm thrilled with how the photos turned out -- especially with my iPhone.

Next in line, was a Tuna Causa, a Peruvian classic, with a spicy kick. Simple, yet elegant, I thought this photographed well.

Next, came the main entrée -- and I selected the salmon. I felt that taking the photo from above really captured the shot.

The end of the meal came with a sweet ending -- a caramel créme.  Small in size, yet big on flavor -- a wanted to add some life to it and felt giving it the human touch will really help here. It also gave the view a better view of the setting.
