Draplin is always a great teacher. His passion for design and for play is infectious. I always want to make stuff after any Draplin encounter.
I don't spend nearly enough time in Illustrator and struggle with the tools. I'm hoping this workshop forces me to work with it some more so I can be a little less timid about making mistakes. In Photoshop I always feel like I can just paint or clone over a mistake. When I'm working with the precision tools in Illustrator, I'm constantly worried I'm going to combine or outline or just plain break something I didn't mean to.
Here's my crest design. See you in the next class!
